Jacke L. Schroeder, LCSW-C, holds a dual Master’s degree in Administration and Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland. Ms. Schroeder has over 30 years of substantive practice experience in the health and human services arena, with deep knowledge of the needs of older adults and disenfranchised families. Jacke is a trained Volunteer Ombudsman with the Baltimore City Health Department’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program.
With expertise in effectively leading complex projects and teams, developing pioneering programs and advocating for justice, Jacke is the Director of SAFE: Stop Abuse of Elders, a program of CHANA. SAFE educates the community about abuse of older adults and provides high-quality consultation and direct services for professionals and individuals in need of information, safety, and support. She is a three-time published author and an ordained Maggidah-in the ancient Jewish tradition, a teller of stories about the journey of the soul. Jacke co-facilitates the powerful Finding Your Voice writing and speaking groups at CHANA.
