Doug Jaye was born and raised in Mineola, NY. Doug received a scholarship from the NY Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Doug is also certified as a Public Manager through Florida State University. Doug has been married to his wife Karen for 30 years and has a 26-year-old daughter, Amanda. Doug Jaye began his career first as a correctional probation officer in 1990 and in 1991 he graduated the Department of Corrections Academy. In 2003, Mr. Jaye served as a Lee County Probationer Officer and was then the Deputy Alternative Sanctions Coordinator and was responsible for implementing Juvenile Drug Court throughout the 20th Judicial Circuit. In 2003, Doug returned to the Lee County Probation Department and was promoted to a supervisor position and subsequently to the Deputy Criminal Division Director. As the Deputy Director, Doug has applied his passion and experience in making a difference through the use of differentiated case management and evidence-based practices and has implemented the department’s model Differentiated Case Supervision Plan.
